Who is Gertrud?

Gertrud has lived with dogs her entire life – first Westies and Scottish Terriers, then Irish Terriers from 1973 onwards. In 2007, Jack Russells also entered her life. She has worked with dog grooming and boarding kennels, and is now retired. Since 1997, she has been an authorised judge and judges in groups 3, 4, 9, as well as schnauzers and pinschers from group 2. She has judged in large parts of Europe, Russia and Australia. Together with her husband, she runs the MerryMac kennel, with around 200 champions, Dog of the Year, several World winners and Crufts winners. She has judged few shows, as her focus has been on exhibiting her own breeding. Gertrud is looking forward to judging your dogs at the Agria Dog Show 2026!
